The 42nd G7 Summit will take place in the Mie prefecture of Japan in late May 2016. Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe will be the head of the meeting. Abe has announced his intention to approach Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss issues affecting the Asian region and Middle East tensions.

Invitations may go out to Moscow for a visit by PM Shinzo Abe and/or a bi lateral visit to Tokyo by President Putin.

The article hinted at the heightened tension locally with North Korea. The Security Council vote of Russia and China are important to Prime Minister Abe.

The G7 nations are Japan, United Kingdom, United States, Germany, Canada, France, Italy and the EU.

China looms large in these discussions, as the economy has dragged down equity prices in many developed economies.

The link between China and the rest of the world is now clearly obvious. The Sick Man theory of of as Detroit goes, so goes the Nation can be applied to China. The manufacturing, debt holdings of China and materials consumption are all links to the developed nations. Therefore, as China goes so will world.

On a positive note, however, I have been reading of the building and the re-emergence of the Asian Tigers. Saigon development, Manila, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore are all expanding their skylines. Buildings and neighborhoods are sprouting up. In some cases clogging main arteries and in most other countries clearing the way for a bright future with Green, lovely and vibrant new cities. The glimmers of hope in Southeast Asia are beginning to sparkle.

China’s startup of the AIIB (Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank) and China’s participation in the G20 gives it an agenda to launch a new Chinese Economic Plan. In fact, China is the chair of the G20. I will be coming to this important event and its serious relevance in future articles.
